Corsham Court & Parkland

A stately home and art gallery with stunning gardens. Originally an Elizabethan Mansion, Corsham Court was bought in 1745 to display the art collection of Sir Paul Methuen, an important Georgian diplomat and connoisseur. The collection features masters from Fra Filippo Lippi to Van Dyck and fine furniture by Robert Adam and Chippendale. There are 25 acres of gardens with an interesting 18th century Bath House, as well as a formal Lily Pond and Rose gardens.

Castle Combe

Often named as the ‘prettiest village in England’, Castle Combe is a quintessentially English village with a rich history. The houses are made up of the honey coloured Cotswold stone, typical for a village of this area. Within Castle Combe you’ll find a Market Cross and St Andrew’s Church which dates from the 13th century.

Lacock

Lacock is a quintessential English village with 13th-century origins, unspoiled timber-framed cottages and local shops. With its central grid of four streets, Lacock today looks much as it did 200 years ago. Its Abbey, founded in 1232, features stunning medieval cloisters (which served as Hogwarts corridors in the Harry Potter films).

Box

The picturesque village of Box, just 10 minutes from Corsham, is known for its Victorian railway history and wonderful walking trails. The Parish has over 100 Public Rights of Way, long distance footpaths include The MacMillan Way and Cross Cotswolds Path cross the Parish. The Box Heritage Trail a circular walk of 4.5 miles offers magnificent views of the By Brook Valley and details of quarrying, milling and Brunel’s Great Western Railway.
